7.45pm - 10.00pm in Barkingside Methodist Church Hall. By popular demand, we will be running a follow-up to our Learn to Sing Course starting Friday 14th January 2011 at 6.45pm. Cost £20 for 10 weeks.

NEW LEARN TO SING COURSE STARTING 14th January 2011 - Register Today
The Learn to Sing Course runs from 6.45pm - 7.45pm for 10 weeks starting 14th January 2011.
This course is designed to encourage more people to take up singing. It is aimed at both those who are new to singing and also those who have not sung for a while.
The next course starts 14th January 2011, from 6.45pm - 7.45pm for 10 weeks.
Venue: Barkingside Methodist Church Hall, Fremantle Rd, Barkingside, Essex.

Learn to Sing within a group environment
Course Content:
- How to find your voice and gain confidence in singing:
- Learn to pitch notes and to sing songs in unison and parts;
- Learn some basic ideas about vocal technique (eg. posture, breathing, relaxation)
- Learn to follow choral scores and understand how rhythms and pitches are written;
- Learn different singing styles and how to express music.
- Progress on to following and holding a part.
Repertoire: Various styles appealing to a wide range of tastes, including popular songs, world music (e.g. from Africa), folk songs and classical songs.

- You learn within a group, which makes it easier and is less daunting.
- If you haven't sung for a while, this course is the perfect way to ease your vocal chords back into action.
- If you are a regular singer you may find the course useful to learn different voice parts, in a relaxed and friendly environment.
- If you are new to singing, this Learn to Sing Course will help you to discover your voice and gain confidence. Also, there's no need to worry about reading music, the simple teaching methods will help you to learn how to follow the music.
